There are many reasons why you should do Juicing for health benefits. Here are few of them, some are very obvious and some may give you some food for thought.

1. Easy way to meet Daily Requirement of Nutrients – Nutritionists say that we should eat 6-8 servings of fruit and vegetables every day. A serving size for fruit or vegetables is equal to about one-half cup. Greens like spinach and lettuce

have a serving size equal to one full cup. If you can eat 8 cups of vegetable in a day then maybe juicing is not for you but most of us can’t eat that much. I don’t mean to imply that juicing is only way to get this much nutrition but it is the most practical and efficient way.

2. Juicing is more beneficial than Cooking – The other way to get your required nutrients is by cooking food. You can make soups, boil or steam vegetables or fry them. Although there are some vegetables that have to be cooked, like potatoes, but most of the fruits and vegetables lose their nutrients when cooked. Juicing, however, comes without the risk of losing any nutrients, since heat is not involved in juicing.

3. Usage of wider variety of Vegetables – You can make juice with literally any vegetable and when combined with right fruit, it’s easily drinkable. I never thought I will be able to eat kale, broccoli or beet root ever and now I love eating them (or rather drinking them!) through juice. And when you know how many vitamins and minerals you are drinking through that glass of juice, it tastes even better! πŸ™‚

4. Detoxifies your System – Juicing detoxifies your body i.e. cleans the toxins from various organs in your body. We are exposed to toxins through air we breathe, food and medicines we eat and so many other ways. Chemicals are everywhere around us. It’s very important to get rid of them for a healthy lifestyle, higher energy level and stronger immune system.

In conclusion, Juicing is most effective way to boost your system and get all the required vitamins, minerals, enzymes and anti-oxidants. It isn’t so time-consuming or difficult and can easily fit in your busy schedule.

You can also stop by at local juice shop to get the fresh glass of juice but there is nothing like making your own juice. It’s easier than you think. Click here to read my getting started guide.

Juicing for Health Benefits — 18 Comments

  1. Love your site. I use to juice fruit and vegetables for my daughter when she was small as she would not eat them otherwise. I had forgotten about doing this and still have a juicer.

Thanks to your site, I will start juicing once again, as I love the taste of freshly made juices.

    Best wishes.
    Lis.

  2. Thanks Lis for your comment. Juicing is an excellent way to get all your needed fruits and vegetables.

I am so glad, I could inspire you to start juicing again. My goal is to inspire more and more people to start Juicing. I believe its the most practical way to achieve the healthy Lifestyle.

    Thanks,
    Richa

  3. I think that juicing is a great way to “detox”. I could never see the sense of spending a fortune on manufactured products from a store. Natural is better and our body loves getting those vitamins and nutrients in a form that it understands and can cope with.

  4. Thanks Annie for visiting my site and leaving the comment. I completely agree with you. Natural products are way better than any of the manufactured products available in store. All these store brands have so many preservatives and other artificial ingredients that makes our body acidic which is the root cause of all diseases.

  5. Richa…ok, I enjoy eating for health, but the reason I don’t (most often) is because I don’t want to have to clean up one more thing! It seems all I do is clean. When you “juice” do you use the skin of the fruits and vegetables also? Also, what kind of Juicer systems would you recommend? Are they expensive? Thanks for this information.

    • Thanks Michael for stopping by my website. Yes I do juice the skin of most fruits and Vegetables like Carrots and Apple but sometimes you have to take off the skin especially for Oranges and other citrus fruits (it’s bitter in taste).
I juice all kinds of fruits and vegetables including green leafy e.g. Kale, Spinach, Broccoli and Celery.
Juicers can range anywhere between $40-$2000.
I would highly recommend getting Omega Masticating juicers as they can juice Green leafy vegetables and don’t waste much. You can get Omega Masticating juicers for $250-$350.
I am using Omega 8006 and trust me it just takes me 5 min to disassemble and clean the juicer.

  6. Thanks Meenal for your comment. I hope you are inspired after going through my website. Just follow these recipes and getting started guide. Let me know if you have any questions.

  7. Very interesting. I used to juice, but have switched to using a NutriBullet so I get all the fiber. You are right about getting greater variety. I use spinach, baby kale, and a spring greens mix that has arrugula, all of which I do not like in salads. I also use ginger which helps soothe the GI tract and helps with inflamation.

I have lost ov er 70 pounds by making juicing and using the NutriBullet part of my life.

  8. Thanks Ivy for the comment. NutriBullet is also an excellent option if you like the fiber in your juice. Sometimes green vegetable doesn’t taste very good with fiber. I also love ginger in my juices. Ginger have lots of health benefits and it tastes so good in Juices.
That’s the beauty of juicing. I can have all kinds of vegetables that I never imagined I will ever eat like Kale, broccoli and beets.
Wow!! losing 70 pounds is a big accomplishment. Congratulations!!

    Thanks for visiting my site.

Cheers to Healthy Lifestyle with Juicing!!
